To date, Aii’s flagship Clean By Design programs have removed over 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions from the supply chain and unlocked over $70M in sustainable finance for factory improvements, (e.g. water stewardship, chemical management and energy efficiency). POSITION DESCRIPTION
Aii is seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Assurance Engineer to oversee the quality assessment and assurance efforts for delivering environmental impact solutions to the factories and brands in the textile sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and performance of work conducted by engineering experts and solution provider partners, particularly focusing on the textile dyeing and printing processes and energy source switches for factories. This role will report directly to the VP of Technology, based in Beijing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the quality assurance process of energy and water conservation recommendations and the associated carbon calculations provided by experts, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and adherence to industry climate target.
- Collaborate closely with auditors, engineers and solution providers to establish clear quality assurance criteria and guidelines site-level facility performance reports
- Review and evaluate energy conservation suggestions, water efficiency recommendations, energy source switches and performance reports, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Ensure that all assessments and evaluations are carried out according to established guidelines and in line with relevant voluntary reporting and regulatory disclosure requirements.
- Assist experts and partners conducting thorough assessments of the dyeing and printing processes within the textile sector, identifying potential areas for energy and water conservation and process improvement linking to Aii’s Climate Solutions Portfolio
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and identify gaps and propose innovative solutions to enhance overall quality of Aii programs
- Develop and implement new quality initiatives for Aii’s new programs, grant projects and Climate Solution’s Portfolio solutions deployment
- Communicate regularly with the VP of Technology and senior leaders to provide updates on quality assurance process, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of quality assurance efforts into the organizations workflow, especially as Aii develops new programs to move facilities beyond low hanging fruits.
- Monitor and analyze quality assurance data related to energy consumption, water usage, energy source, and conservation efforts to identify trends and areas in the textile industry for further improvement.
- Mentor and guide other team members and partners, providing training and support to enhance their understanding of quality assurance processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, energy, electric engineering, thermal engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in energy conservation, with a strong background in textile processes, particularly dyeing and printing and renewable energy source technologies
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with international stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance methodologies, including the ability to develop and implement quality criteria.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with experts, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in energy and water conservation.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading quality assurance initiatives.
Aii is a globally dispersed, fully remote organization. This role will be fully remote with 20% travel expectations. Candidates in Asia – Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City are preferred.
